Does the Avatar 2 Two ii sequel movie from James Cameron have a realistic chance of utter and total domination of Academy Award nominations with Oscar wins in all categories?

In 1997, James Cameron stunned the world when Titanic became the most successful and highest box office grossing film at the cinemas theaters multiplexes.

This unprecedented financial success resulted in 14 (fourteen) Oscar nominations, which is the most in history. Eventually, Titanic equaled the record with 11 (eleven) wins including Best Director for James Cameron and Best Picture for Titanic.

Hollywood was willing to reward the achievements of James Cameron because Titanic was so wildly out of control in popularity. However, James Cameron didn't stop with Titanic. In fact in December 2009, James Cameron unleashed the 3D computer animated Avatar on the audiences of the world.

Avatar quickly surpassed the box office earnings of all motion pictures including Titanic by a vast margin of victory. Hollywood refused to reward James Cameron for his revolutionary Avatar.

In the end, Avatar received 9 (nine) Academy Award nominations, but it would lose in the most prominent categories and only managed wins in technical categories.

The unparalleled success of Avatar means that the follow up Avatar 2 has no chance of Oscar nominations in important categories. The best Avatar 2 ii Two can hope for is technical Academy Award wins similar to the first Avatar movie film.
